Places To Visit
Things to do in Bisbee
Travelers from all over , both nationally & internationally, come to Bisbee to enjoy its unique charm.
Bisbee has developed into an attractive artist colony and retirement community, known for its relaxed quality of life. There’s a unique blend of creativity, sociability, flair, romance and exploration — all encompassed in the grandeur of the Old West.
When you stop in Bisbee, you are able to stop in time.
Bisbee has somehow been able to maintain an Old World charm seldom found anywhere else in the USA.
There’s one Main Street, so start there!
There is a select assortment of well-preserved, turn-of-the-century Victorian buildings that are full of Old West history as well as copper mining. Former saloons are now quaint shops, antique stores or art galleries, cafes and restaurants.
You can stroll down the sidewalks and find pleasure in the many unique specialty shops, art galleries, gourmet restaurants, coffee houses, & book stores. Visit the delightful, restored neighborhoods of Victorian and European-style homes that are perched miraculously on the edge of the hillsides.
The Queen Mine Tour
The most popular activity in Bisbee is the renowned Queen Mine Tour, which is a visit down into the now inactive copper mine.
Bisbee’s Queen Mine was originally one of the richest copper mines in history when the mine first opened in 1877. In fact, the mine eventually closed when mining operations were abandoned in Bisbee in the mid–1970’s.
The Queen Mine opened once again as a tour for visitors in 1976, nearly 100 years after the mine initially opened.
Visitors don yellow slickers, hard hats, and miner’s lanterns as they drop down on the mine train deep into the mine and experience the life of miners as they slogged away in the subterranean tunnels.
The Bisbee Mining & Historical Museum
A visit to The Bisbee Mining & Historical Museum is a necessity for history buffs.
It was the West’s first rural Smithsonian Institute affiliate.
Here, visitors are able to become familiar with life on Bisbee’s “Urban Frontier”.
The historic Muheim House is an important example of US 19th century architecture and elegance.
Treasure Hunt Tour
Another widely attended activity is Bisbee’s outstanding Bisbee Treasure Hunt walking tour. The Treasure Hunt brochure may be picked up at the Visitor Center. The tour encompasses many historic structures and permits visitors to search for special places.
The Old Bisbee Ghost Tour is the only one of its kind.
Your Ghost Host and favorite haunts while seeing Old Bisbee when very few do, after sunset.
Visit the haunts of Julia who enjoys the company of married men staying along in her room, Nat the miner who owed money to the Money Man and paid for it with his life, and the Lady in White who saved the lives of three children.
Old Bisbee Ghost Tour begins at 7:00 P.M. MST on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings.
Private tours may also be scheduled. The tour lasts approximately an hour and a half.

Belleza is owned and operated by the Renaissance House (fka WTP), a non-profit organization that provides its residents the opportunity to make the changes needed to become healthy and self-reliant.
The gallery reintegrates formerly homeless female residents of Renaissance House into the community by involving them in activities with local and visiting craftspeople, artists, and business owners.
The program provides vocational skills and an understanding of the workplace to homeless women, generates income for the residents, and generates operating funds to sustain the house.
